The Judicial Administration Training Institute, in short JATI, is one of the premier training institutes of Bangladesh that mainly provides training to the judges and judicial magistrates, government pleaders, public prosecutors and the court staffs. It is a statutory organization that has been established in 1996 with the task to impart legal and judicial knowledge, skill and attitude to the member of the subordinate judiciary and other stakeholders of the justice sector for bringing positive change in the justice delivery system of Bangladesh. JATI has been endeavoring to meet this goal through undertaking various types of training programmes for its target groups and also publishing a yearly research journal on the contemporary judicial issues, complexities of laws and their application.

At the top of its management, there is a board of Management headed by the Chief Justice of Bangladesh for taking policy decisions and a well structured administration headed by the Director General (Retired Judge of Supreme Court of Bangladesh) for implementing those policy decisions and other routine functions. JATI has so far conducted more than 230 different training programmes and published 15 volumes of JATI Journal. Apart from its highly qualified in-house faculty members, JATI has a pool of high valued resource persons who conduct most of its training sessions as external faculty. Most of the external resource persons are Judges of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, senior Judges of the District Courts and renowned professors and experts of other disciplines.

JATI, has initiated to send  the trainee judges who have secured good positions in its training courses to the programmes held abroad.  JATI also closely works with the International Organizations, Donor Agencies and other Non-Governmental Organizations for enhancing its capacity towards development in judicial education and training. As a matter of fact, JATI has not only become a platform for sharing and exchanging knowledge but also a place of gathering world class educational and professional experience for its trainees.
